Introduction :

Law and human life are instrinsically linked. There is no aspect of human existence that is untouched by law. The knowledge of laws governing business and their application to overcome challenges encountered is a must for every entrepreneur and business professional. As economic, social and political changes occur laws and policies are changing to adapt life and business accordingly. The Department of Business Laws is engaged in imparting education of law and taxation at the under graduate and post graduate levels outlined below:

The college also provides Post Graduate Diploma in Taxation Laws of the Savitribahi Phule University of Pune. The Head of Department Dr. Prakash N. Chaudhary is the coordinator of the course and various tax consultants, Professional lawyers and chartered accountants are the faculty members for this course.

Objectives of the Department of Business Laws

Objectives

  1. To create student-friendly environment and give theoretical exposure of the subject to the students.
  2. To motivate students to become active learners in the ‘Teaching-Learning Process’ through various activities such as projects, field work, presentations, workshops, etc.
  3. To give up-to-date knowledge of the subjects to the students and motivate them to take up research projects on contemporary themes relating to their studies.
  4. To motivate members of the department to undertake various research activities of their interest.
  5. To take special efforts for overall development of the personality of the students besides academics and make them responsible citizens to face the new challenges of the changing society.

  • Dr. Bhanage Memorial Seminar on ‘Intellectual Property Rights in the Changing Business World’
