Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

Introduction

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore requires that each accredited institution establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) post accreditation. The purpose of the same is to maintain quality. NAAC suggests that IQAC shall put all effort and take measures towards the promotion of holistic academic excellence of the institution. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell is a crucial cell for institutionalization of quality. The cell will strategize initiatives in the college to fill the gaps and deficiencies to ensure quality and performance.

Quality Policy:

Neville Wadia Management Studies & Research is committed to providing quality education in the commerce faculty as per the guidelines of Savitribai Phule Pune University, University Grants Commission and the Government of Maharashtra. The cell has been active since its inception in 2017. It monitors all the academic and administrative activities and is also responsible for its follow-up.

Quality Policy Imparting quality education to the youth, pursuing their Management degree in all endeavors namely learning, research, entrepreneurship to become responsible Global managers who are accountable for themselves and the organization as a whole.

The Primary intent of the IQAC comprises According to NAAC

  1. To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.

  2. To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through institutionalization of quality culture and best practices.

Objectives of IQAC

  1. Adhering to the regulatory requirements of UGC, AICTE, SPPU, DTE.

  2. To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

  3. Aiding the teachers with facilities for effective teaching, providing them Teaching equipment, providing an aura for all round development of teachers.

  4. Faculties are encouraged to write Research papers, upgrade academic qualification, interaction with industry, through seminars, educational visits.

  5. To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

  6. To Achieve Academic Excellence.

  7. Student satisfaction level periodically taken through student feedback reports, student placements through campus interviews and overall success in university examinations.

  8. Monitoring each process in teaching and administration as a requirement of quality management system to ensure earliest corrective action in the event of any issue. The management is committed to these quality objectives and also ensures that they are known, understood and implemented by all members of the institute.

Functions of IQAC

  1. Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.

  2. Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.

  3. Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.

  4. Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.

  5. Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.

  6. Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.

  7. Development and maintenance of institutional database for enhancing the institutional quality.

  8. Development of Quality Culture in the institution.
