Introduction

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a 3-year full-time degree programme that provides theoretical and practical knowledge to an aspirant in the fields of Commerce, Business and Management. The Programme structure of BBA is outlined to create detailed understanding and awareness of various business systems to cultivate desired business insights amongst the students. This programme is designed with the specific objective of developing various skills, aptitude, and awareness amongst the students in tune with the prevailing business systems that govern different types of business organisations. The program is designed to cultivate business acumen among students and aims to develop skills, aptitude and awareness in tune with prevailing business practices. The basic objectives of the course are to provide undergraduate students particularly those planning a career in business administration with a comprehensive introduction to the study of business administration with an underlying focus on entrepreneurship, skill building and real-world business practice. It aims at developing skills appropriate to the demands of the rapidly changing modern business environment. The BBA program is designed to impart business and management knowledge to aspiring students for a better understanding of the corporate world. It enables students for drawing a prospective career in the field of Business Management. The program blends five core disciplines of Business, Management, Economics, Communication and Information Technology. From Academic Year 2024-25, the professional program will be administered under AICTE, providing multiple entry and exit options for students. Students can pursue a 3 year BBA program or pursue a 4 year BBA Hons. Program . The syllabus has been designed as per NEP 2020.

Objectives of the BBA Program:

1. To equip students with a comprehensive understanding of core business principles, including management, finance, marketing, human resource management, and operations.
2. To foster the ability to analyze business problems, develop strategic solutions, and make informed decisions using critical thinking and analytical skills.
3. To provide hands-on experience through practical sessions, projects, internships, and case studies to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world business scenarios.
4. To improve written and verbal communication skills essential for professional business environments, including report writing, presentations, and interpersonal communication.
5. To instill leadership qualities and teamwork skills, preparing students to lead and collaborate effectively in diverse business settings.
6. To incorporate modern technological tools and practices in business operations, including computer applications, IT for business, and AI/ML for business.
7. To promote ethical business practices, corporate social responsibility, and environmental awareness to ensure graduates act with integrity and social responsibility.
8. To offer a range of elective courses to provide a broad perspective on business issues, integrating knowledge from various disciplines like economics, law, and management.

Total fees for BBA course for academic year 2024-2025
Maharashtra State (MS)/ Outside Mah. State (OMS)/ Foreign Students – 55,000/-

Eligibility for Admission:

1. A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Degree course in Bachelor of Business Administration shall have passed 12th Std. Examination (H.S.C. 10+2) from any stream with English as passing subject and secured 40% marks at 12th Standard.
2. Two years Diploma in Pharmacy after H.S.C., Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent.
3. Three Year Diploma Course (after S.S.C., i.e. 10th Standard) from Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent.
4. Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) Vocational (MCVC) Minimum Competency Based Vocational Course Examination with 45% marks for candidates in Open Category and 40% for Reserved Category candidates as per Maharashtra State Govt. Rules.

Admission Procedure

As per AICTE and University norms, from Academic Year 2024-25, the admission for all professional courses in the college, that is BBA, BBA-IB and BBA-CA will be through MAH- BBA/BCA/BMS- CET 2024 (Common Entrance Test). Students are required to appear for CET at designated centres on specified dates. After the results of CET are declared, a Common Admission Process followed by counselling round will be conducted for admissions for all colleges in Pune, Maharashtra. Note: Students are informed that direct admission to any professional course or admission based on merit is not applicable from academic year 2024-25.

Methods of Evaluation, Passing, and Evaluation Criteria

• A candidate is required to obtain 40% Marks in Internal Assessment, Practical Examination and Semester End University Examination.
• It means that passing separately at Internal Assessment, Practical Examination and Semester End University Examination is compulsory.

The evaluation of students will be done on Three Times during each Semester:

  1. Internal Assessment (Internal)
  2. Practical Examination (If applicable)
  3. Semester End University Examination (External)

For Semester End University Examination, question papers will be set for Seventy Percent of the Total Marks allotted for the course.

Evaluation will be done on a continuous basis Three Times during each Semester. Internal Assessment will be of Thirty Percent of the Total Marks allotted for the subject. The colleges need to adopt any Two Methods out of the following Methods for Internal Assessment:

Can I work alongside my study?

Since the BBA program is a fulltime program, students are expected to attend college every day. Students may if they wish, join a part time job without missing on the academics and co-curricular activities of the college.

Is a student allowed Internship during the program?

Absolutely. College has a dedicated Training and Placement Office, which provides Internship for registered interested students.

What are the Fees of the BBA Program?

The fees of the BBA Program are as per the SPPU guidelines. For further queries and clarifications, contact administration office.

Are ADD ON courses compulsory?

Yes. Add On courses for Skill Enhancements carry 2 credits and are compulsory during every semester. Failure to attend the course sessions and appear for examinations will result in a backlog.

Is it necessary to Submit assignments and Tutorials?

Absolutely. Each Assignment, presentation and Tutorials carry marks. Separate passing in Tutorials is essential.

Can I change the stream once I have secured admission in College?

No. Changes in stream/ Programs are not allowed post your admission in College.
